Anyone for a tennis break at Bisham Abbey? These tennis weekends organised and hosted by the Living Tennis team give you the chance to really focus and improve your game thanks to the tutoring from expert LTA coaches many of whom have played professionally or at very high County level.Bisham Abbey NSC is a wonderful place. One of Sport England's National Sports Centres it's a state of the art training venue for over 20 different sports. As well as being the headquarters of Living Tennis the facilities are also used by the likes of England Hockey England Football and Rugby Associations. Coaching and training is right up there with the very best and it's for everyone whether you're a young hopeful or an adult taking up the sport. The ethos at Bisham Abbey is that world-class training is open to and available to all. These special tennis weekends are aimed at adults be it beginners who are looking to learn the basic strokes and techniques to more advanced players who want to up their game out their on the court. In essence coaching is geared towards you and over the weekend you'll participate in four half-day one-to-one personal tennis coaching sessions. The training centre is situated on the River Thames just five minutes from Marlow in Buckinghamshire. There are four LTA-standard outdoor American clay courts four floodlit acrylic courts and four indoor hard courts so rain certainly won't stop play during your tennis weekend away. There's also an excellent two-level gym with all the free-weights cardio and resistance machines you could need. You can even book a personal fitness session or relax with a sports massage during your stay (payable locally). Accommodation is usually in the 800-year old former Abbey itself which is at the heart of this National Sports Centre with comfortable en-suite single and double rooms available. Breakfast and lunches are taken at the Refuel Cafe providing healthy and tasty food to keep you energised so you can smash those serves and volleys all day long. In the evening it's really nice to be able head into the lovely market town of Marlow to grab a bite to eat. We think these tennis breaks at this flagship Living Tennis academy are a superb way to get your tennis playing off to the best possible start or for players to improve their game. The world-class coaching and facilities that Bisham Abbey provides for all participants will certainly get you motivated for a fantastic weekend of tennis and fitness.
