On these microlight flights in Mid-Wales you'll see how microlights come in all shapes and sizes! We are offering 30 and 60-minute flights in modern light sports aircraft out of Mid-Wales Airport in Powys at this small and friendly microlight training school. Based near Welshpool this training centre boasts two different types of microlight. The Ikarus C42 is a popular trainer aircraft renowned for being easy to fly stable and comfortable too. It's a closed-cockpit microlight with a high wing which looks more like your typical Cessna-type light aircraft but it is still classed as a microlight. That's because it comes in at under the 450kg weight limit thanks to the incredibly simple tubular aluminium weight-saving frame. The other microlight based at Mid Wales is the Eurostar EV97.
